If You Want to See It - Say It

1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Devotional: There will be seasons when no one is there to speak life over you. No encouraging mentor, no faithful friend, no timely note in the mail. In those moments, you must learn to do what David did -- encourage yourself in the Lord. This is not wishful thinking or empty optimism. It is the discipline of speaking God's truth out loud over your own life when everything around you is telling a different story. Faith is reaching out and grabbing hold of nothing and holding on until it becomes something. Speak what God says about your marriage, your health, your purpose, and your future. Speak it with faith. Hold on to it. Watch God move.
Personal Reflection: What area of your life have you been speaking negatively over? What does God's Word actually say about that area?
Practical Application: Write down three faith declarations rooted in Scripture that speak directly to your current struggles. Read them aloud every morning this week, not as a formula, but as an act of trust in the God who spoke the world into existence.
