Compassion Without Fatigue

Galatians 6:9-10
9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

Devotional: Serving others consistently can lead to exhaustion—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Compassion fatigue is real, whether you're caring for a sick loved one or ministering weekly to your community. But Scripture encourages us: don't grow weary in doing good, for in due season you'll reap a harvest if you don't give up. The key is serving from overflow, not emptiness. You cannot pour from a depleted vessel. Stay connected to the Source—let God's love fill you first, then let it spill onto others. Also guard against pride that judges those who don't share your burden. Focus on your calling, not others' perceived inaction. Remember, God supplies the seed to the sower and multiplies it. Your faithful obedience, even in small acts, produces fruit beyond what you can see. Rest in Him today.
