Do Not Let Fear Overwhelm You

Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Devotional: Fear is one of the most powerful forces that can derail a life of faith. Israel stood at the edge of the promised land and turned back -- not because the promise was false, but because the voices around them were louder than the voice of God within them. They listened to their brothers instead of their God, and their hearts melted with fear. You will face moments when the voices of doubt, discouragement, and human logic seem overwhelming. In those moments, return to what God has said. His word is not subject to the opinions of others. He says He is with you. Believe it.

Reflection: Whose voices have been shaping your faith recently -- people who walk in fear, or people who walk in trust?

Practical Application: Write out Isaiah 41:10 and place it somewhere visible this week. Each time fear surfaces, speak the verse aloud as a declaration of what God has promised.
