Carry the Weight Together

Galatians 6:2
2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Devotional: Devotional: The early church did not just worship together and go home. When someone had a need, the community responded with action. They sold possessions. They shared resources. They showed up. Biblical community is not simply a warm feeling shared during a Sunday service — it is a way of life that says what I have is not only for me. This kind of care requires vulnerability on both ends. It requires someone to be willing to admit they are struggling, and it requires someone else to be willing to step in without being asked twice. When the body of Christ functions this way, the result — as Acts 2 records — is great joy. Generosity and care do not deplete a community. They multiply its life.
Reflection: Is there someone in your life right now who is carrying a burden too heavy to bear alone? What is one practical thing you could do this week to help carry it with them?
Practical Application: Do not wait for someone to ask for help. Think of one person in your church or neighborhood who is going through a difficult season and take a specific, tangible step to serve them this week — bring a meal, offer to help with a task, or simply sit with them and listen.
