Getting Ready - God Prepares His People

Reading:
Exodus 3:7-10
7 The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

God sees the suffering of His people, hears their cries, and declares His intention to deliver them through a chosen leader.

Devotional: God does not overlook the struggles of His people. Before the Israelites took a single step out of Egypt, God was already at work preparing the way. He saw their bondage, and He had a plan. In the same way, nothing in your life escapes His attention. The waiting seasons, the hard seasons, the seasons where nothing seems to be moving -- God is preparing something. Trust that His preparation is never wasted. Before He calls you to go, He equips you to be ready. Let today be a reminder that God is always working, even when you cannot see it.

Reflection: What area of your life feels stuck or unmoving right now? How might God be using this season to prepare you for what comes next?

Application: Write down one thing you sense God is developing in your character during a current season of waiting. Commit it to prayer today.
