The King Is With You

Matthew 1:23
23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 28:20
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Hebrews 13:5
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Victory over the enemy isn't something you're striving toward—it's something Christ has already accomplished. At the cross, Jesus made a public spectacle of principalities and powers, triumphing over them completely. Too many believers fixate on the devil's power instead of Christ's authority. The enemy may bark loudly at the fence, but he has no real bite in the life of a Spirit-filled believer. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. You don't need more deliverance sessions or spiritual warfare techniques—you need to recognize that Christ has already cast out your enemy. When you received the Holy Spirit, you received everything necessary to defeat the devil. Stop giving him attention and start declaring your victory.
Reflection: In what areas of your life are you acting like the devil has more power than he actually does? How can you shift your focus from the enemy's threats to Christ's triumph?
