The Hands and Feet of Jesus

This powerful message challenges us to move beyond comfortable Christianity into active compassion. Drawing from Matthew 25, we encounter Jesus separating the sheep from the goats based not on their words or claims, but on their actions toward those in need. The sobering truth is that how we respond to hungry, thirsty, homeless, sick, and imprisoned people is actually how we respond to Jesus himself. When we fed the hungry, we fed Christ. When we ignored the stranger, we ignored him. This isn't about earning salvation through good works, but rather recognizing that genuine faith naturally produces compassion with hands and feet. We're reminded that people with needs aren't interruptions to our spiritual lives, they are divine encounters orchestrated by God. The call isn't to fix every problem in the world, but to notice one need this week and meet it. We don't need elaborate programs or nonprofit organizations, just open eyes and willing hearts. The question becomes: are we so in love with good church services that we've forgotten the mandate to be good to people? True faith moves toward needs, not away from them, and in doing so, we become the living, breathing gospel to this generation.
