Dont Lose Your Leap

What happens after the miracle? That is the question at the heart of this powerful message drawn from Acts chapter 3. We all know the story of the lame man who was healed at the Beautiful Gate, but there is a detail in the text that is easy to overlook. The Bible does not simply say he stood up and walked. It says he went walking, leaping, and praising God. That leap was not just a physical movement. It was an outward expression of an inward transformation. It was decades of longing and waiting and struggle erupting into visible, undeniable joy. The central challenge this message places before us is a deeply personal one. Have we lost our leap? Not our salvation, not our commitment to showing up, but the raw, overflowing joy that once accompanied our walk with God. David captured this exact tension in Psalm 51 verse 12, where he cried out not for salvation itself but for the joy that salvation had once carried. This message calls us back to that place, reminding us that God never intended for us to merely survive our faith. He intends for us to live it with joy, with praise, and yes, with a leap.
