The Way of Suffering

This powerful Palm Sunday message takes us on a profound journey through the Via Dolorosa, the way of suffering that Jesus walked from Pilate's judgment seat to Calvary. Drawing from John 19 and Isaiah 53, we're reminded that Easter didn't emerge from celebration alone but from the deepest suffering imaginable. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and by His stripes we are healed. Yet this message goes beyond remembering Christ's sacrifice. It speaks directly to our own seasons of suffering, reminding us that pain has a redemptive purpose when we refuse to give up. Like Jesus who endured the cross because of the joy set before Him, we too can look beyond our current difficulties to see what God is accomplishing through our trials. The refining fire of affliction isn't meant to destroy us but to purify us, burning away the dross to reveal pure gold. Whether we're facing persecution, misunderstanding, loneliness, or harassment, we have a choice: will we let the pain win, or will we allow God to use it to shape us into His masterpiece? This isn't about toxic positivity but about recognizing that we serve a God who walks with us through every valley, never abandoning us even in our darkest moments.
