Never Again Will You Fear Any Harm

Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

John 6:20
20 But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.”

2 Timothy 1:7
7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

God doesn't promise you'll never feel afraid—He promises fear won't control you. Like children running to their parents during a thunderstorm, we find peace not because the storm stops but because our Father is present. Fear weakens faith, freezes obedience, and breeds anxiety. But when you become aware of God's presence (He was always there), fear loses its grip. The command "do not fear" appears throughout Scripture, always connected to God's presence. Joshua heard it before entering the Promised Land. The disciples heard it during a literal storm. You hear it today in whatever storm you face. Fear may knock, but you don't have to open the door. Instead, open your mouth in praise and watch fear lose its power as faith rises.

Reflection: What specific fear is trying to control you right now? What would it look like to reject that fear and embrace faith through praise instead?
