Defeating Anxiety through Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

‭‭
Paul doesn't mince words: "Do not be anxious about anything." Not some things—anything. Impossible? He immediately shows us how: through prayer, petition, and thanksgiving. When anxiety grips you at 3 a.m., when worst-case scenarios flood your mind, you have a choice. Take that specific fear to God. Be honest: "Lord, I'm afraid I'll lose my job." But don't stop there. Add faith: "But You are my provider. You've done it before; You'll do it again." This isn't denying reality; it's reframing it through God's truth. When you intentionally place trust in God through specific, thankful prayer, something supernatural happens: His peace—which passes understanding—guards your heart and mind. Today, rephrase one anxious thought into a prayer of faith.
