Jesus Knows Your Heart

John 2:23-25 (NLT)
23 Because of the miraculous signs Jesus did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many began to trust in him.
24 But Jesus didn’t trust them, because he knew all about people.
25 No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person’s heart.
Psalm 139:1-6 (NLT)
1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.
5 You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!
What if you had access to a counselor who already knew every intimate detail of your heart? You do. Jesus doesn't need a case history or background report—He knows what's in each person's heart. David marveled at this reality: "You know when I sit down and when I stand up. You know my thoughts even when I'm far away." This complete knowledge could be terrifying, except for one crucial truth: He loves you anyway. His knowledge of your weaknesses, failures, and struggles doesn't push Him away—it draws His compassion. You can come boldly before His throne because you can come honestly, vulnerably, and transparently. He already knows your stuff, so there's no need to hide. Today, bring your whole self—the good, bad, and broken—before the One who sees it all and loves you completely.
