Stewarding the Temple

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit—not just a spiritual metaphor but a practical reality. Jesus stewarded His physical body intentionally: He rested when weary, ate when hungry, walked daily, and cared for His physical needs. Self-care isn't selfish; it's stewardship. You've been given one life, one body, and a divine calling. Honoring God with your body means getting adequate sleep, nourishing yourself properly, moving regularly, and seeking medical care when needed. It means recognizing that you cannot fulfill your purpose if you're running on empty. Physical exhaustion affects your emotions, clouds your thinking, strains your relationships, and hinders your spiritual sensitivity. Today, ask yourself: Am I thriving physically, or merely surviving? What is one practical step you can take this week to better steward your physical health?
