Loving God With All Of You

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (NLT)
“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. 5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Luke 10:25-28 (NLT)
25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”
27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”

The sermon emphasized loving God with all aspects of our being - heart, soul, mind, and strength. This echoes Jesus' words about the greatest commandment. Today, reflect on what it means to love God holistically. How can you engage your emotions (heart), spirit (soul), intellect (mind), and physical self (strength) in your relationship with God? Consider areas where you might be holding back. Ask God to help you love Him more fully in every dimension of your life.
