Finding Peace In God
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Today's passage reminds us that peace is found in a person - God Himself - rather than in a place or circumstance. When anxiety creeps in, we're instructed to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving. Reflect on your usual responses to stress. Do you turn to God first, or do you seek comfort in other things? Today, practice bringing your concerns to God immediately as they arise. Thank Him for His presence and care, even before you see the outcome. Allow His peace, which transcends understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
