Persevering Through Church Hurt

Hebrews 10:23-25
"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

The sermon addressed the reality of "church hurt" - pain caused by experiences with people within the church. Yet, we're called to persevere in fellowship. Today, if you're nursing wounds from past church experiences, bring them before God. Ask for His healing and the strength to forgive. If you've never experienced church hurt, pray for those who have. Consider how you can be an instrument of healing in your church community. Remember, the church, though imperfect, is still God's chosen instrument for spreading His love.
