Restored for a Purpose

Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV)
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."

Luke 8:38-39 (NIV)
"The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

God doesn't just restore us for our own benefit; He restores us so we can share His love with others. The man Jesus healed was sent back to his community to share what God had done. Your story of transformation is powerful. Think about how God has worked in your life. Who needs to hear your testimony? Ask God for opportunities to share His work in your life, and for the courage to step into those moments.
