From Nothing to Something
Genesis 1:1-5 (NLT)
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day."
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
God's creative power is most evident when He works with nothing. Just as He spoke light into darkness, He can bring new life to the void areas of our lives. Consider the "empty" or "formless" parts of your life. These might be unfulfilled dreams, broken relationships, or areas where you feel inadequate. Offer these to God today, trusting that He can create beauty from emptiness. Remember, in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come!
